What Hikari collects
When you sign up, Hikari stores your email address. When you tap the mic to log a workout, your voice is streamed in real time to a third-party speech-to-text service for transcription, and the resulting text is sent to a third-party AI service to structure it into exercises and sets. Neither the audio nor the transcript is stored after processing. Your workouts, weights, and body metrics are stored only on your device.
How Hikari uses your data
Email is used to sign you in and send password resets. Voice and transcripts are used only to convert your spoken workout into structured data. Hikari never sells, rents, or shares your data, and your content is never used to train AI models.
Third parties
Hikari uses external services for authentication, real-time speech-to-text, and AI-powered workout structuring. Each receives only what it needs for its task and is bound by its own privacy practices. Email Hikari at vijay@gethikariapp.com if you'd like to know which specific providers are currently used.
Data retention
Your account exists until you delete it (Settings → Delete Account, which removes everything from Hikari's servers and erases on-device data). Voice and transcripts are not retained. Anonymous per-day usage counts are kept to enforce rate limits.
Your rights
You can export, edit, or delete your data from inside the app at any time. If your country gives you additional rights (EU, UK, California, India, etc.), email Hikari and your request will be honored.
